There are four players in the game of life; four different aspects of your being, all of which must eventually meet and merge in order to become a totally rounded and integrated individual. 

All four elements are equally important, and all four reside in every man and woman.  When they function on their own, they manage to get by, dipping and rising along the waves of mortality, but when they work together in harmony they are a dynamic celebration of life.

Primary Male

The first identity is Primary Male, whose penetrating drive is primal and basic.  His focus is fixed, like a seed that wants to multiply through all the different stages of transformation until it comes full circle to the seed state again.  There is an underlying essence that is carried through all the changes, so no matter what happens, there will always be a part of you that remains the same.

On one hand, Primary Male can be seen as the tramp or vagrant; the down and out who has rejected society and returned to the earth.  He sleeps outside with Mother Nature, or on cardboard boxes under the arches, and his beard grows long and wild.  His counterpart, at the other end, is the saint who has transcended the needs of a cultured existence.  He, too, prefers to walk in simplicity, unfettered by wealth or possessions, and his beard grows long and wild, but now there is a sense of peace and refinement about him.
